Boston Brass: Christmas Bells are Swingin’

The Boston Brass quintet teams up with the Brass All-Star Big Band featuring players from around the globe to produce an unmatched sound that will get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday season. The ensemble of all brass – trumpets, French horns, trombones, and tubas, with jazz rhythm section – will present big band arrangements of classics like the Stan Kenton Christmas Carols, Greensleeves, Motown Jingle Bells, and more. Bring the whole family!

Boston Brass is a one-of-a-kind musical experience. The ensemble’s lively repartee, touched with humor and personality, attempts to bridge the ocean of classical formality to delight audiences with great music and boisterous fun.

Before the show, enjoy lobby music by the Purchase College Conservatory of Music Brass Quintet. During intermission, the Quintet will be running an “instrument petting zoo” just outside of the theater entrance by the Christmas tree. Stop by with the kids to learn more about how brass instruments work and sound, up close and hands-on!
