National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America

Meet the extraordinary young musicians of Carnegie Hall’s national youth ensembles—the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz—represent the future of the country’s orchestral and jazz traditions. After a three-week residency at Purchase College, this streaming event is the culmination of their training and music-making.

Carnegie Hall Selects presents Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin

Experience a more modern interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin in this film from the 2007 Salzburg Festival. Daniel Barenboim conducts the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and a cast led by Peter Mattei and Anna Samuil.

Jacob’s Pillow presents Ballet Hispánico

A Festival favorite known for “piercing stereotypes” (The New York Times), their program celebrates five decades of lush and virtuosic dance and includes Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award winner Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Tiburones, a daring and insightful work that addresses the discrimination and stereotypes placed upon Latinx culture, Batucada Fantástica, comprised of three selected solos by Vicente Nebrada, and 18+1 by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano.

Caramoor presents The Knights, Jazz Festival, and Apollo’s Fire

What a weekend! Starting with The Knights orchestra on Friday at 8pm, followed by a Jazz Festival in partnership with Jazz at Lincoln Center on Saturday at 1pm, and ending with Apollo’s Fire playing Baroque music on Sunday at 4pm.

Russian soprano Venera Gimadieva portrays the iconic role of Violetta, alongside America tenor Michael Fabiano (a June 24 pick) as Alfredo. The visual beauty of Tom Cairns’s opulent production aptly echoes the irresistible allure of this beloved opera. La Traviata was captured live at Festival 2014. Sung it Italian with English subtitles.
