JazzFest White Plains returns for its 13th year with more energy and excitement than ever. The five-day festival presents 18 live performances from emerging talent to world-renowned artists, including four Grammy Award-winners and nominees and quite a few artists with connections to Purchase, like the Nicole Zuraitis Quartet, the Aaron Seeber Trio, and the Anaïs Reno Quartet.

Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden presents
58th Annual Moon Viewing Concert

Join us for this special tradition begun by Natalie Hays Hammond in 1966. Wander through the garden under the soft twilight light before settling in for a Tea Ceremony demonstration at 6:30pm, followed by a very special outdoor concert with traditional koto and shamisen music by Masayo Ishigure and Miyabe Koto Shamisen Ensemble at 8pm. Cultural displays and Asian refreshments will be available.

Peterson Concert: Edmar Castañeda Quartet

Colombian musician and composer Edmar Castañeda is a master of the Colombian harp. As the bandleader of a jazz band, Castañeda gathers inspiration from the joropo folk of his Bogotá roots, along with his love of contemporary and Latin jazz and pop. Joining Mr. Castañeda on stage will be Andrea Tierra on vocals, Shlomi Cohen on saxophone and Rodrigo Villalon on drums.
